We represent Support Staff from Humber Polytechnic. They are part-time and full-time employees from across all campuses: North, Lakeshore, Downtown, and at the University of Guelph-Humber.

The LEC is comprised of the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Unit Stewards and Shop Stewards.
The primary role of the Committee is to; inform, educate and engage Support Staff in the context of their rights and responsibilities as members of OPSEU/SEFPO and as employees of Humber College.

Local 563 has the duty to represent Support Staff from Humber College as part of the grievance process and as required by Collective Agreements.
"The Union is recognized as the exclusive bargaining agent for all Support Staff employees of the Colleges."
(CAAT-S Collective Agreements, Article 1.1)

All Support Staff from Humber College are covered by a collective agreement and are required to complete their OPSEU/SEFPO membership form. Doing so has various benefits including: being a member in good standing, eligibility for strike pay in the event of labour interruption or strike and access to OPSEU/SEFPO Membership Discount Programs.

All Support Staff are welcome to participate in various initiatives at the Local e.g. organizing events or by representing Support Staff at College-wide Committees. The Local is seeking representatives for the Humber Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee.
